Optimo DJ god JD Twitch comes to The Alibi in London next weekend to play an exclusive early set of US/UK punk, post-punk and hardcore, based on last year’s ‘60 Minutes of Fear’ compilation. Hailed by Pitchfork as “a sound fetishist’s treasure trove of the accidental glories of no-fi technology” this looks totally unmissable.

Support comes from Gold Blood who have pant-wettingly been described as “collusion of Liaisons Dangereuses, AFX and Black Flag” and The Beat djs.

Bass-thumping, dancefloor destroying mash-up legend Kid 606 returns with a Tigerbeat6’s first release of 2009.

‘Kill Soundboy Kill’ revamps the title rack from ‘Die Soundboy Die’ into a ferocious, snarling steppers style track custom made to slay dancefloors. ‘Sprucegoose’ is an “upbeat polyrhythmic african influenced 120 bpm techno thumbpiano jam”, ‘T.Y.T.R’ is remixed into minimal voodoo nightmares and acid explosion and other mixes are provided by UK up and comer Bruce Stallion (aka Black Rabbit) and Berlin’s Doshy.
