Time Out resident djs ‘The Beat’ present Defunkt, a new night of forward thinking electronic music charting the path from the adventures in stereo of Silver Apples and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop through musical pioneers such as Manuel Göttsching, Giorgio Moroder, Bobby Orlando, Patrick Cowley, Blake Baxter, Lenny Dee, Carl Craig and Antony ‘Shake’ Shakir to the more recent sounds of Warp, DFA and Border Community.
We’ll be playing sixties exotica, krautrock, post-punk funk, disco, italo, proto-house and past, present and future electronic.
