Sheffield’s Long Blondes have been plugging away constantly since 2004 and have never quite had the success that was deserved of them. After sadly suffering from a stroke in June, however, Dorian Cox, main songwriter and guitarist with the band, has decided to call it a day.

The folks over at Sweeping The Nation set a fantastic challenge - they wanted every year from 1967 through to 2007 to be represented by a lovely 12-track Muxtape. They’ve had some great responses from readers so far - check out the full list here, and there are still a few years to be claimed if you want a go yourself. I claimed 2004, so here is Adas’ Muxtape of the bountiful year that was 2004. Enjoy, and full linkage to all the artists will be added to this post over the weekend after the jump.
